About Swedish Massage therapy …

Swedish massage therapy is a classic form of massage, using a variety of techniques such as kneading, light-medium pressure and flowing movements specifically designed to warm up the muscles and promote deep relaxation. Swedish massage not only relaxes the body but also increases the oxygen and lymph circulation throughout the body. Swedish massage is relaxing yet uplifting whilst at the same time promoting health and well-being.

The benefits of Swedish massage…

Swedish massage is widely regarded as an alternative therapy to improve health and well-being…
Whether it be to aid the healing of an injury, to help treat symptoms or health conditions, reduce stress or just promote well-being, by relieving muscle tension Swedish massage can be both relaxing and energising, using soft, long and kneading strokes, as well as light-medium rhythmic and tapping stokes in the direction of blood flow returning to the heart along the upper layers of the muscles, along with the mobilisation of joints such as the wrists and ankles keeping them supple.

What to Expect…

The primary goals of Swedish massage therapy are to ease muscle tension and allow the entire body to fall into a state of relaxation. But Swedish massage goes beyond relaxation, it can be exceptionally beneficial by increasing the level of oxygen and lymph (white blood cells) in the blood, also improve circulation, whist decreasing toxins within the muscles and improving flexibility. During your treatment great care is always taken to make sure the right amount of pressure is tailored to your requirements and/or needs, and that you are as comfortable and relaxed as possible throughout.

Hot oils can be used during your massage treatment if you wish, please do ask if this is something you’d like included to make your experience even more enjoyable.
