My Story
From car mechanic
to healer
“I didn’t choose wellness — wellness chose me. And when it did, it changed everything.”
My name is Colin Solomon, and my journey into holistic therapy is not one I planned. In 2007, my life changed completely when a traumatic event led to a serious health crisis. What followed was years of navigating a medical system that treated symptoms and missed the person — and a growing realisation that real healing required a very different approach.
At the time, I was a car mechanic. I knew about engines, about systems, about how things break down and how they’re restored. It turns out that understanding serves you well when you shift your attention from machines to the human body. I threw myself into studying anatomy, physiology and the pathology of the body — and then into every therapeutic modality I could find. I needed to understand, firsthand, what actually worked.
What began as a search for my own healing became a calling. I discovered that I had a natural gift for this work — an ability to listen to the body, to be fully present with a client, and to deliver treatments that reach beyond the surface into something genuinely restorative. Over seventeen years and thousands of sessions later, that calling has never wavered.
The practitioner I became
Over the years I have trained in over twenty modalities — from Swedish and deep tissue massage to exotic bodywork traditions such as Lomi Lomi, Thai, Shiatsu and Tao. I’ve studied sports injury and rehabilitation, post-operative lymphatic drainage, fascia release, and the profoundly moving practices of Tantra and sensory immersion.
Each modality I’ve learned has added a different layer to the way I work. I don’t apply techniques mechanically. I read the body in front of me, listen to what it needs, and respond in the moment — drawing from whatever I know will serve that particular person, on that particular day.
In addition to massage therapy, I have trained as a naturopath, health coach, aesthetician and 5 Elements acupuncturist. I bring this broader perspective to everything I do at Sensuosity — understanding that what happens on the table is only part of the picture, and that genuine wellbeing touches every aspect of a person’s life.
The aftercare commitment
One of the things I hear most often from new clients is that they’ve never experienced the level of care they receive here — not just during the treatment, but after. I offer genuinely free aftercare and follow-up advice to every client, including guidance on lifestyle, posture, nutrition, stress and complementary practices they can explore at home.
I don’t just book sessions. I build relationships. Many of my clients have been with me for years — some for well over a decade. That continuity, that depth of knowing someone’s body and their life, is what makes the difference between a treatment and a transformation.
“Healing is always possible, no matter where you’re starting from — and I say that not as a practitioner. I say it as someone who had to find out if it was true.
— Colin Solomon, Founder of Sensuosity
The Approach
The Sensuosity
philosophy
True wellbeing is felt — not prescribed. It lives in the body, not just the mind. And it asks us to slow down, to be present, and to actually listen to what we need. That’s the thread running through everything I do here.
At Sensuosity, I don’t offer a menu of isolated treatments. I offer a practice — a coherent, considered approach to the whole person, drawing from the best of holistic, sensory and clinical traditions.
01
The whole person
Every treatment considers body, mind and emotional state together. We don’t just treat the muscle — we treat the person it belongs to.
02
Presence over protocol
I don’t work from scripts. I read the body in front of me and respond to what I find — which means every session is genuinely bespoke.
03
Beyond the session
Real change happens between appointments. Every client receives free aftercare advice — on lifestyle, nutrition, posture and home practice.
04
Safety and trust
My clients’ comfort and safety are non-negotiable. Every session, regardless of the modality, is held with full professional care and respect.

The Person Behind the Practice
Beyond the clinic
These dimensions of my life are not separate from my practice — they are what makes it human. A reminder of just how far a journey can take you, and of the fact that transformation, at any stage of life, is always possible.
Father & Grandfather
Father of five and grandfather of four. Family is the foundation of everything — a constant reminder of why this work matters.
